Who It's For
Is BioTrace a Longevity App for Athletes, or Regular People?
Last updated September 3, 2026
Short answer: neither, specifically — BioTrace isn't built around an athlete persona or a general-population persona. It's built around your stated goal, and adapts what it shows and recommends based on that, which ends up serving both kinds of users well without treating either as the default.
How the goal system actually works
There are seven primary goal tracks to choose from: a balanced longevity plan, improving insulin sensitivity, reducing cardiovascular risk, improving inflammation control, improving skin clarity, optimizing hormone balance & recovery, and protecting kidney & liver resilience. Each one maps to its own priority-ordered set of biomarkers and its own weekly quest content — someone focused on cardiovascular risk sees different priority markers and different guidance than someone focused on hormone balance.
Where that helps an athlete
An athlete's priorities often skew toward recovery capacity, inflammation control, and metabolic efficiency — selecting the relevant goal track surfaces guidance and marker priorities aligned with that, and wearable-derived recovery signals (sleep, HRV, resting heart rate, workout load) feed directly into the same weekly loop.
Where that helps someone who isn't training seriously at all
The default "balanced longevity plan" track and goals like cardiovascular risk or kidney & liver resilience don't assume any particular training volume — the weekly guidance adapts to whatever behavior and marker data actually exists, not to an assumed baseline fitness level.
The honest takeaway
BioTrace doesn't have an "athlete mode" or a "beginner mode" as distinct products — it has one adaptive system that reorganizes itself around whichever goal you pick. That's a meaningfully different design than an app built primarily for one persona with the other bolted on.
